ADDITIONAL DETAILS
MIXING: Mix 1 gallon of Saavysil with 4 gallons of water (in a 1:4 ratio) and mix gently until a uniform white liquid appears. If the job cannot be completed on the same day, the mixed liquid can be reused after stirring slightly.
APPLICATION: Saavysil sealer can be applied using a brush, roller, or low-pressure sprayer such as a garden sprayer. Apply the first coat, ensuring the entire application area is evenly covered. Wait 10-15 minutes before applying a second coat. Two wet-on-wet coats are recommended for optimal results. On vertical surfaces, work from the bottom up, allowing a 6–10-inch overlap.
APPLICATION CONDITIONS: Surface and air temperature should be between 40°F and 95°F. Avoid applying if rain is expected within 24 hours to prevent the sealer from washing away. Fresh concrete needs to be cured for 28 days before applying Saavysil.
SURFACE PREPARATION: Clean and remove dirt, oil, previous paints, coatings, and stains to allow Saavysil sealer to properly contact and penetrate the surface. Pressure washing with detergent-based cleaning or acid etching can be used. The surface must be completely dry with no damp patches. Repair any cracks before applying the sealer.
DRY TIME: Less than 6 hours for drying and open to foot traffic in 12 hours. Allow 24 hours for vehicle traffic. If the concrete has excess moisture from rain, drying may take longer.
CLEAN UP: Use soapy water.
COVERAGE: Total coverage up to 275 sq. ft per gallon after dilution. Coverage can vary depending on the surface porosity and texture.
PRECAUTIONS: Keep out of reach of children. Avoid breathing and direct contact with the body. Respiratory protection is not typically required during handling and application, but it’s recommended when spraying on vertical surfaces. Wear protective gloves and eyewear. Clean thoroughly after use. Light overspray may not damage vegetation, but covering non-targeted areas like windows and glass surfaces is highly recommended. Since the product can make non-porous surfaces slippery, avoid accumulation in these areas.
SAFETY DATA: Refer to the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for detailed information on first aid procedures in case of inhalation, skin contact, eye contact, or ingestion.
SHELF LIFE & STORAGE: Store in the original unopened container for up to 1 year from the date of manufacture. Keep the product from freezing and store it in a cool, dry place.
LIMITATIONS: This product is formulated for application on fully cured concrete. Saavysil sealer is not a waterproof membrane/coating, so water beading may not occur on all surfaces. It works by penetrating the surface. The effectiveness of the sealer is measured by its ability to reduce water absorption/intrusion using the Rilem tube test. When applied properly, the sealer will resist damage to your concrete for an extended period.
